What are peptides?

Are they safe?
Safety depends on the person, the peptide, and the dose — which is exactly why every treatment here is prescription-only. An independent, licensed physician reviews your health history and decides whether a peptide is appropriate for you, and it's compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy. Like any medication, peptides can have side effects and aren't right for everyone — that's a conversation to have with your physician.
What if I stop taking them?

How is it taken?

How are they made?
Prescribed treatments are prepared — or compounded — by licensed 503A compounding pharmacies in the U.S. that follow strict quality, sterility, and testing standards. Compounding lets a pharmacy prepare a medication to a physician's specific prescription.
Peptides vs. GLP-1s — what's the difference?
GLP-1s (like semaglutide and tirzepatide) are actually a type of peptide. "Peptide" is the broad category — short chains of amino acids that signal the body — and GLP-1 receptor agonists are one specific, well-known group within it. Whether any of them is appropriate for you is a clinical decision made by the physician.

Dr. Broussard is an independent provider. She is not employed by, and does not serve as the medical director for, Velacore Health. Medical decisions are made solely at her independent clinical discretion. Your prescribing provider may vary based on state availability and clinical need.

What is your refund policy?

Will I talk to a real, licensed doctor?
Yes. An independent, licensed physician reviews your intake and makes every prescribing decision. Your day-to-day questions are handled by the Velacore care team, who escalate clinically significant concerns to the prescribing provider.
How long until my order arrives?
Once the physician approves your treatment, it's compounded by the pharmacy and shipped to you — typically arriving within a few business days. Timing can vary by pharmacy and your location.
Can I cancel or pause anytime?
Yes — there's no long-term contract. You can cancel or pause before your next fulfillment date by contacting the care team. Cancellation stops future charges; it doesn't refund a fulfillment that has already been dispensed.
Do you take insurance?
Programs are paid out of pocket and are not billed to insurance. Pricing is shown up front, with no surprise fees.
Is my personal information private?

What if I have side effects or questions during treatment?
Message the Velacore care team anytime — clinically significant concerns are escalated to the prescribing physician for review. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Which states do you serve?
Velacore Health telehealth services are available in all 50 US states. Every prescription still requires review by an independent physician licensed for your state, and your prescribing provider may vary based on state availability.
